Chennai, June 10: Veteran actor Rajinikanth paid an emotional tribute to legendary filmmaker Bharathiraja on Wednesday, remembering him as a close friend whose contributions to Tamil cinema will be cherished forever.

Speaking to the media after paying his last respects in Chennai, Rajinikanth recalled Bharathiraja’s trademark honesty and straightforward nature. The superstar shared that the acclaimed director once candidly told him, “I never liked your acting, but I liked you as a human being.”

Rajinikanth said the remark reflected Bharathiraja’s genuine personality and his habit of speaking his mind without hesitation. Despite the blunt comment, the two shared a warm friendship built on mutual respect over the years.
