Spread over a sprawling 15 acres within the iconic Rashtrapati Bhavan, Amrit Udyan is often regarded as the soul of the Presidential estate. Originally comprising the East Lawn, Central Lawn, Long Garden, and Circular Garden, the Udyan has evolved over the years under successive Presidents, including Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and Shri Ram Nath Kovind, with the addition of the Herbal Garden, Tactile Garden, Bonsai Garden, and Arogya Vanam.

This season, Amrit Udyan unveils its latest highlight, the Babbling Brook — a serene water feature with a gently meandering stream, sculptural spouts, stepping stones, and a reflecting pool. It promises visitors a refreshing and tranquil experience amidst the vibrant greenery and seasonal flowers in full bloom.
Families and nature enthusiasts can explore multiple attractions, including Bal Vatika, a specially curated garden for children that tells the story of a 225-year-old Sheesham tree. A treehouse and Nature’s Classroom offer interactive experiences, while the Bonsai and Circular Gardens showcase a diverse variety of flora and fauna. Throughout the Udyan, visitors can also enjoy ongoing exhibitions and take a break at the vibrant food court, making it a perfect combination of learning, leisure, and relaxation.

Amrit Udyan stands as a testament to India’s rich horticultural heritage and commitment to environmental beauty. Whether for quiet reflection, educational experiences, or family outings, the Udyan offers a serene escape in the heart of Delhi, celebrating nature, sustainability, and the timeless charm of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
