Senior Congress leader D.K. Shivakumar is set to take oath as the 25th Chief Minister of Karnataka on June 3 in Bengaluru, marking a significant political transition in the state.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place at Lok Bhavan Glass House and is expected to witness the presence of senior Congress leaders, cabinet members, party workers and supporters from across Karnataka.

Shivakumar’s appointment comes shortly after Siddaramaiah stepped down as Chief Minister following discussions with the Congress leadership in Delhi. The change in leadership is being seen as part of the party’s broader political and organisational strategy.

The 64-year-old leader now takes charge at a crucial time, with supporters hopeful about the next phase of governance in Karnataka.
