Sunny Deol’s Border 2 has completed 15 days in theaters and continues to perform well at the box office. The film had a strong opening weekend and earned big during the Republic Day period, collecting around 60 crore in a single day. As of now, the movie has earned 297.25 crore in India, 51.35 crore overseas, and a worldwide total of 405.85 crore, and it is still earning around 4 crore per day on average. On the other hand, Rani Mukerji’s Mardaani 3 is struggling, with its earnings continuously declining. The film has made 28.05 crore in India and 40.75 crore worldwide in 8 days, which is still below its 60 crore budget. This poor performance puts the Mardaani franchise’s record of consecutive hits at risk, as both the first and second parts were successful. With Shahid Kapoor’s Oh Romeo coming soon, the box office competition may further affect the earnings of both films. Border 2 looks stable for now, but Mardaani 3 is facing a tough time, and the future of Rani Mukerji’s franchise is uncertain if the trend continues.
