Amrita Singh, the popular actress of the 80s and 90s, has turned 68 today, and her birthday brings back memories of her remarkable life and career. Born on 9 February 1958 in Delhi, Amrita made a superhit debut in Bollywood with the film Betaab opposite Sunny Deol, and soon became one of the top actresses of her time. Along with her successful film career, her personal life also stayed in the spotlight. Her engagement with former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri was called off, she was also linked with actor Vinod Khanna, and later she surprised everyone by marrying actor Saif Ali Khan in 1991, who was 12 years younger than her and had not even debuted in films then. After marriage, Amrita became the mother of two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, but after 13 years, the couple separated and got divorced in 2004. Today, Amrita Singh is living a single life, and even at 68, her journey, confidence, and story continue to inspire and interest people across generations.
