The State Government has introduced the Dr. Ambedkar Samajik Puraskar scheme to recognize individuals who have dedicated their lives to the welfare and upliftment of Scheduled Castes in Goa.
Under this scheme, the selected individual will receive Rs. 25,000 in cash, a shawl, a shrifal, and a certificate on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti on 14 April 2026 (Tuesday). The award aims to honor those who have contributed significantly to social awareness and worked towards improving the socio-economic conditions of Scheduled Castes.
To be eligible, the applicant must be a Goan resident, above 60 years of age, and must have completed at least 25 years of remarkable service dedicated to the upliftment, education, and better living standards of Scheduled Castes in the state.
Interested individuals can obtain the prescribed application forms from the Directorate of Social Welfare, Opposite Farmacia Salcete, 18th June Road, Panaji-Goa.
The last date to submit the completed application form along with relevant documentary evidence is 25 March 2026.
