Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant attended the conclusion ceremony of the 30-Day Special Awareness Campaign on Drug Abuse, themed “Drugs: A Menace to Society”, held in the august presence of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of India, Shri Justice Surya Kant, along with Hon’ble Judges of the Supreme Court and High Courts.
The month-long campaign witnessed strong participation across Goa, actively engaging students, youth, and local communities to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of prevention.
Reiterating the State’s resolve, the Government of Goa emphasized its commitment towards achieving a drug-free Goa through strict law enforcement, sustained awareness programmes, rehabilitation initiatives, and proactive youth engagement.
The campaign reinforced the collective responsibility of society, institutions, and governance in combating the menace of drugs and safeguarding the future of the younger generation.
