MLA Poriem Dr. Deviya Rane Inaugurates Renovated Anganwadi Centres at Charwane and Hivre Budruk

Poriem, Sattari | 7th July 2026 : Reaffirming her commitment to strengthening early childhood care and improving public infrastructure, MLA of Poriem Constituency and Chairperson of the Goa Forest Development Corporation, Dr. Deviya Rane, today inaugurated the renovated and repaired Anganwadi Centres at Charwane and Hivre Budruk in Thane Panchayat, Poriem Constituency.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Zilla Panchayat Member Shri Nilesh Parwar, Sarpanch Shri Vinayak Gawas, Panch Members of Thane Panchayat, government officials, Anganwadi staff and local residents.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rane emphasized that Anganwadis play a crucial role in laying the foundation for a child’s growth, education and overall development. She stated that providing children with safe, hygienic and well-equipped learning spaces remains a key priority and that improving such community infrastructure directly contributes to the well-being of families across the constituency.

Renovated Anganwadi Centre at Charwane
The Charwane Anganwadi Centre has undergone extensive renovation works to provide a safer and more child-friendly environment.

The scope of work included:

  • Replacement of the existing Mangalore tile roof with a durable double-layer Galvalume sheet roofing over a steel structure.
  • Construction of a new toilet with a septic tank.
  • Installation of aluminium sliding windows and door shutters.
  • Internal and external painting.
  • Provision of a false ceiling.
  • Plumbing works.
  • Plastering and wall putty application.
  • Installation of wall tiles.
  • Provision of iron grills for the verandah along with a safety gate.
  • Construction of a granite kitchen platform with a sink.
  • Renovated Anganwadi Centre at Hive Budruk

The Anganwadi Centre at Hive Budruk was also renovated to enhance its infrastructure and create a more comfortable and functional space for children and Anganwadi workers.
The renovation works included:

  • Replacement of the existing Mangalore tile roofing with a double-layer Galvalume sheet roof.
  • Installation of vitrified tile flooring.
  • Plumbing works.
  • Internal and external painting.
  • Repairs to the toilet facilities.

Dr. Deviya Rane stated that these upgraded Anganwadi Centres will provide a better environment for early childhood education, nutrition and care, while also improving the working conditions for Anganwadi staff. She reiterated her commitment to ensuring that every village in Poriem Constituency benefits from quality public infrastructure and people-centric development initiatives.
