Industry Associations Join Hands with GTA to Power Goa’s Role in Bharat’s Digital Economy

Goa Technology Association (GTA) successfully hosted “Boosting Bharat’s Digital Economy” on 8th July 2026 at Hotel Fortune Miramar, Panjim, bringing together government representatives, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, technology professionals, and GTA members to discuss the role of technology in driving India’s digital economy.


A key highlight of the event was the support extended by Goa’s leading industry bodies, including the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), Goa State Industries Association (GSIA), Goa IT Businesses Association (GIBA), Vibrant Goa Foundation, Women Entrepreneurs Business Network (WEBN), The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM), Goa Pharma Manufacturers’ Association, Goa Council of Ayurvedic & Other Allied Indian Systems of Medicine, Goa Management Association (GMA), and Association of Business Women in Commerce and Industry. Their participation reflected a shared commitment to strengthening collaboration and fostering innovation to accelerate Goa’s digital growth.


The programme began with a welcome address by Mr. Chinmay Sanjiv Kamat, Secretary, Goa Technology Association, followed by addresses from Mrs. Pratima Dhond, President, Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI); Mr. Pradip A.P. Da Costa, President, Goa State Industries Association (GSIA); and Mr. Rajkumar Kamat, Chairman, Vibrant Goa Foundation, who highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry, government, academia, and entrepreneurs.
The event also featured the announcement of Tech Dialogue, an exclusive interview series with Rashtra TV showcasing GTA members, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Goa Technology Association (GTA) and the Goa IT Businesses Association (GIBA) to strengthen innovation and industry partnerships.
A special highlight of the event was a fireside chat between Mr. Mangirish Salelkar, President, GTA, and Mr. Manoj Chacko, MD & CEO, FLY91, which explored leadership, entrepreneurship, and the opportunities for technology-led enterprises in Goa.
The Chief Guest, Hon. Mauvin Godinho, Minister for Industries, Government of Goa, reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to supporting technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship through strong public-private collaboration.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Vikram Pai Raikar, Member of the Managing Committee, Goa Technology Association, followed by a networking dinner. The programme reinforced GTA’s vision of building a collaborative technology ecosystem and advancing the mission of Boosting Bharat’s Digital Economy with the support of Goa’s leading industry associations.
